 
Professional Experience:
Land
Surveying - Dr. Ching had been involved in land surveying activities
with the Land Acquisition Team for the KCRC railway projects. This
included re-establishment of land boundaries for valuation purposes,
"problematic" lots analysis, resolving disputes over lot boundaries,
verifying the area of land properties and providing professional advice
in regard to various proposed railway alignments from a land surveyor's
perspective.
Land
Administration - Dr. Ching was engaged in various land administration
works. The major duties included preliminary study for alternative
alignments of new railways projects; preparation of resumption and
clearance plans; resumption and clearance costs estimates; negotiations
with landlords/claimants for the clearance of land; monitoring
resumption progress as well as dealing with miscellaneous land title
problems. He had also provided land input to engineer to meet the
delivery programme and carrying out tasks including gazettal action
agreed with the Government.
Property
Management and Lease Interpretation - Dr. Ching had also been worked
within the project team for the RC divestment project of the Hong Kong
Housing Authority. Owing to his particular expertise in land matters, he
was mainly responsible for providing comments and interpretation to the
Deed of Mutual Covenants (DMCs) and Government leases associated with
the public housing estates to be divested.
